(1995) propose that the realisation for a gain-scheduled controller should be chosen to satisfy a local linear equivalence condition. However, this provides an inadequate basis selecting an appropriate realisation. Many realisations satisfy the local linear equivalence condition yet are not equivalent and can exhibit quite different dynamic behaviour. Furthermore, the condition imposes restrictions on the controller states and inputs which are not a priori necessary.

Stability Proof of Gain-Scheduling Controller for Skid-to-Turn Missile Using Kharitonov Theorem
Gain scheduling is one of the most popular nonlinear control design approaches which has been widely and successfully applied in fields ranging from aerospace to process control. Despite the wide application of gain scheduling controllers, there is a notable lack of analysis on the stability of these controllers. The most common application of these kinds of controllers is in the field of fligh...
متن کاملBumpless Transfer Between Observer-Based Gain Scheduled Controllers
This paper deals with bumpless transfer between a number of observer-based controllers in a gain scheduling architecture. Linear observer-based controllers are designed for a number of linear approximations of a nonlinear system in a set of operating points, and gain scheduling control can subsequently be achieved by interpolating between each controller. The Youla-Jabr-Bongiorno-Kucera (YJBK) ...
متن کاملAppropriate Realisation of MIMO Gain-Scheduled Controllers D.J.Leith
The dynamic characteristics of a controller designed by the gain-scheduling approach can be strongly dependent on the realisation adopted; that is, the manner in which the local linear controller designs are combined to obtain a nonlocal controller. The purpose of the present paper is to investigate the choice of appropriate realisations for general MIMO gain-scheduled controllers. An extended ...
متن کاملFuzzy Gain-Scheduling Control of Nonlinear Processes
Fuzzy gain-scheduling is a special form of model-based fuzzy control that uses linguistic rules and fuzzy reasoning to determine the controller parameter transition policy for a dynamic plant subject to large changes in its operating state. Issues of stability and overall dynamic behavior are resolved using conventional modern control techniques. The design of a fuzzy gain-scheduling controller...
متن کاملRobust H2 switching gain-scheduled controller design for switched uncertain LPV systems
In this article, a new approach is proposed to design robust switching gain-scheduled dynamic output feedback control for switched uncertain continuous-time linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. The proposed robust switching gain-scheduled controllers are robustly designed so that the stability and H2-gain performance of the switched closed-loop uncertain LPV system can be guaranteed even und...
